getmobile`s mobile phone contract business has 4 closely interrelated revenue streams:
- Commissions from network operators and service providers
- Marketing Co-ops from network operators and hardware manufacturers
- Airtime revenue shares from operators and service providers
- Sale of mobile phone handsets to third parties in the German market
With almost 140.000 contracts sold in the year to 31 December 2007 getmobile is a very attractive independent distribution channel for network operators and service providers competing for market share. This is particularly the case as getmobile’s customer base tends to have higher ARPU levels than competing direct market segments and provides access via TV to a unique audience.
getmobile’s primary cost positions are the purchase of mobile phones and consumer goods for sale to customers, television and advertising costs and central overhead.
